BD Veritor System For Rapid Detection of SARS-CoV-2

The BD Veritor System for Rapid Detection of SARS-CoV-2 is a rapid ( 15 minutes) chromatographic digital immunoassay for the direct detection of the presence or absence of SARS-CoV-2 antigens in nasal specimens taken from patients with signs and symptoms and/or who are suspected of COVID-19. The test is intended for interpretation in both laboratories and near-patient testing environments only with the BD Veritor Plus Analyzer Instrument. The test is not intended to be interpreted visually. Digital reading may reduce drastically performance inconsistency by reducing human variability in interpretation. Sensitivity and specificity are superior to the WHO desirable performances for this kind of test.
